Bozhidar Dimitrov Stoyanov - Senior Research Assistant, Ph.D.

Born on 3 December 1945 in the town of Sozopol. In 1974 he graduates the Sofia University "St. Clement Ohridski" in the field of "Bulgarian history". In 1975-1977 he specializes in the Institute for Research and History of Texts in Paris and the School for Paleography and Diplomacy in Vatican. From 1978 to 1998 he works in the National Museum of History as a curator in the "XV-XVII century" Department, deputy director on science issues and director.
He is author of 31 monographs and more than 250 science studies and articles in scientific publications. In 1998-2001 he works as a science consultant in Trud
Newspaper and a host of historical-publicistic shows in the televisions "7 Dni", "Skat", and "Den".
Since December 2001 he is again director of the National Museum of History. He is the Chairman of the Cultural Monuments Preservation Council at the Ministry of Culture.
He is author and science consultant of the scripts of more than 25 documentary and popular movies - "The Island", "Chronicle of the War 1876/78", "The Mysteries of Paisius", "The Rescued Relics", "Meden Rid", "The Necropolis", "The Arapovo Monastery", "Borderline Fortress", "The Temple", "The Rescued City", "The City of Melsa", "The Island - 1996", "Rhodope Fortresses", "Perperek", "National Park Ropotamo", "The Relics of Strandzha"; the series "Bulgarian Monuments in Macedonia" - "From Osogovo to Negotino", "Skopje", "Prilep-Bitola", "Ohrid, Struga, Debar, Kichevo", "Doiran", "Prespa"; the series "Christianity in Bulgarian Lands" - "The Apostles", "The Patriarchs", "Bulgarian Faith", etc.
Since 2003 he is the host of his author's show on the Bulgarian National Television - "Bulgarian Memories".
He wrote more than 50 books, among which are "Bulgarian Christian Civilization", "12 Myths in Bulgarian History and the Batak Myth", "The True Story of the Balkan War", "The Wars for National Unification", "The Ten Myths about Macedonia", etc.
Since July 2009 he is a Minister in the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria.
